Volunteer application
A non-competitive festival created in 2018, Rencontres 7e Art Lausanne offers audiences the chance to discover classic films and previews in Lausanne cinemas every year. The festival also offers masterclasses, discussions and conferences with international guests.
For its next edition – from 5 to 15 March 2026 – the festival is looking for volunteers to help with set-up, welcoming the public, ticket sales, bar service and other essential tasks. Without its volunteers, the festival could not exist, so a big thank you for your commitment!
Some information
- We often receive a large number of applications. We cannot guarantee you a place on the staff. Applications with experience and the most availability will be given priority.
- Shifts at the festival last approximately 2 to 5 consecutive hours. Even if you indicate a lot of availability, we will not assign you more shifts than you indicate on the form (minimum 3).
- Invite your friends to join the festival volunteer team. We will be happy to assign you shifts together, as far as possible. You can indicate this in the comments section of the form.
- Your participation will be rewarded with a personal Festival Pass, giving you access to festival events (subject to availability), drink vouchers and goodies. When you work during meal times, a snack will be provided (upon registration).
- If your application is accepted, we will get back to you with your work schedule about ten days before the festival. Please keep the availability you have indicated until then. If you do not hear from us, please check your spam folder.
Before the festival, we invite you to a welcome drink where you can meet your managers and the other volunteers. See you on Wednesday 4th March at the end of the day (more information to come).
Inclusivity
For its 9th edition, in line with its HOPE theme, which will highlight programming that (re)instils hope in humanity, Les Rencontres 7e Art wishes to promote inclusivity by ensuring accessibility and visibility for people with disabilities, whether motor, sensory, mental, cognitive or psychological.
This commitment is reflected in the programme, but also in the ongoing establishment of new projects, partnerships and initiatives aimed at including as many people as possible. The festival encourages diversity among its audience, but also among its teams: the search for volunteers is therefore extended to people with disabilities, neuroatypical people or those with special needs, offering them the opportunity to participate in the event from the inside, working in pairs with other qualified volunteers and enjoying the same benefits. Please feel free to spread the word!
